Anniversary night out :)

Some of you who follow me on Twitter know that the Husband and I recently celebrated 5 years of marriage!  It really has flown by and it's so nice that we're not sick of each other yet LOL!!   We've actually been together 12.5 years so we've been through a lot together!  Anyway, our anniversary fell on a weeknight but we still wanted to go out for a really nice dinner.   It was terribly cold and rainy out that night and have to admit part of me just wanted to throw on my PJ's and cuddle up under the covers, but it's always nice to get out and have a nice dinner together.

Dress: My LBD  Dynamite XS (really old!)
Wrap Sweater - really old too, I don't remember where I got it!
Shoes:  Liz Claiborne size 7 also seen here
Earrings:  Avon

I also received this little present in the mail!

Beautiful Baroque Pearl Earrings from Birks!

He definitely knows me well, doesn't he ;)

I hope everyone had a great weekend! :)

OOTweekend - shorts!

This is going to be a really quick post.  I thought I would post what I wore on the weekend while setting up for a friend's bridal shower.  I only have maybe 3 pairs of shorts and they are usually reserved for resort vacations only!

This summer I've worn these shorts quite a few times though:

Shorts:  Dynamite size 1
Shirt:  it's a dress!  mark by Avon

I'm not really sure what the proper length for shorts is especially for petites.  I feel comfortable in these because they aren't super short and don't ride up LOL.

Close up:

That's about is for this boring outfit - but it works and it helped me beat the heat and humidity this weekend!

OOTD and a Petit Plume Review

Being the non-creative person that I am, I can't think of anything clever for this blog title so I'll just call it what it is!

Here is what I wore to work today (remember, my work is SUPER casual - this outfit is actually dressed up for most people at work!)

Top:  Banana Republic PXXS
Capris:  dcasual (Dynamite) size 1
Earrings:  Avon

I picked up this top on my last trip to the states back in June.  It's super comfortable and I love the colour.  Even though I was too lazy to make any real effort with my outfit at least I felt bright and cheery!  The capris are REALLY old, I honestly can't even remember when I got them.  They are from a Canadian store called Dynamite.

On to a more exciting topic,  I received a wonderful package in the mail today from an Etsy seller Eugenia of Petit Plume:

Isn't her card so cute?

Top:  Simone headband (different jewel)
Right:  Delaney hair clip
Bottom:  a gift!  flower pin

Here are some close up shots:

Unfortunately the wood the delaney flower pin was clipped to broke during transit :(

And the lovely note Eugenia sent with my purchases:

I CANNOT wait to wear all my new items!  Thank you so much Eugenia :)

Work Wear: Cream and Brown and a long lost skirt

The other day as I was going through my closet and discovered a long lost skirt!  I completely forgot that I had it and I couldn't even remember when the last time I wore it was.  I was skeptical that it would even fit but I managed to make it work:

Skirt:  Suzy Shier size 0
Top:  Dynamite size S
Shoes:  BCBG girls
Bag:  Coach
Necklace:  Avon

I was honestly really surprised that I forgot about this skirt!  It's fully lined and the details are cute - piping at the waist band and POCKETS!  The A-line shape worked surprisingly well too.

I think maybe a solid cream belt would have been a nice touch.  Moral of the story:  there may be treasures hidden in the depths of my closet!
